Cross-country skiing
The Giant Mountains are a paradise for every cross-country skier. Our highest mountains boast dozens of kilometres of groomed cross-country ski trails. Every winter season there are about 500 kilometres of marked trails that lead through beautiful snowy landscapes.
Downhill skiing
The ski lift Friesovy boudy offers ideal downhill conditions closest to the accommodation.It is only 2.7 km from the cottage.
You can ski to the lift, but you have to walk back. So if you are planning a combined winter hiking/cross-country skiing/downhill skiing holiday, we recommend renting skis directly at Friesovy Boudy.
If you decide to bring your own equipment, it is possible to transport skis and ski boots at the end of the day from Fries' huts on a snowmobile (arranged in advance).
The second option for children who are starting to learn to ski is the rope tow at Grohmanova bouda (about 500 metres below Dvorská bouda, about 1.5 km from Malá Rennerovka).
